You can permanently delete your Puttcard account and all of the data associated with it at any time, directly from the Puttcard app. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your data.
How to delete your account
In the Puttcard app (iOS or Android):
- Open the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom. Below the Sign Out link, tap Delete Account.
- Re-enter your password to confirm it's you.
- Tap Delete My Account, then confirm in the dialog. This cannot be undone.
If you can't sign in to complete these steps, email support@puttcard.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently and immediately remove all data tied to it, including:
- Your login and email address (your sign-in account).
- Your profile — display name, email, chosen theme, and email preferences.
- Your game history — every scorecard and round you've recorded.
- Your badges and achievements.
- Your contact record with our email provider (Brevo), including any marketing-email subscription.
What data is kept
- Anonymous, aggregate statistics (for example, a running count of total games played across all users) may be retained. These contain no information that identifies you.
- Course listings are shared reference data, not personal data, and are not affected by deleting your account.
Retention period
Your personal data is deleted immediately when you confirm. Residual copies that may remain in our encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. We may retain limited records for longer only where required to comply with a legal obligation.
